:: Future & Stability ::

Several friends express their anxiety about the stability of the Movement since it does not possess any building or property. The deliberate option not to possess its own building places financial burden on the organization since it has to pay a large amount of money as rent. Since the Movement does not believe even in a corpus fund it will have to depend on friends and well wishers for its support. Hence it is natural to ask questions about the sustainability of the Movement. Varghese Alengaden, the Director and National Co-ordinator answers this question with great confidence and optimism. "A Movement or an institution should exist only if it is relevant to the times. If it is relevant and needed, the people would support it. When it ceases to be relevant it should die. The role of USM is to infuse values into individuals and institutions and bring transformation in their structure and style of functioning. The attitudinal change in individuals would enable them to create alternative systems and structures to rebuild the nation. Through these individuals and institutions the Movement will be alive. Then a national structure and organisation will not be required. In the death of the structure the spirit of the Movement will be alive".
