:: Our Methodology ::
The USM avoids the style and culture of advertisement to sell its programme. It does not publish any text books on value education. The Movement and its programme of Value Education for Peace are known to people through personal sharing with friends and through the national journals Renaissance, Elichimalar and Sanjeevani.
Whenever the Movement receives an invitation from an institution, an orientation programme is arranged for the teachers and a selected group of students separately. Before organizing this orientation, the head of the institution is briefed about the essential aspects of the specific programme with all its implications.
A team of resource persons is sent to the particular school to facilitate and introduce the programme. The team of resource persons awakens the youth and the teachers to be critically aware of the social, cultural and political scenario of the country and the need for working towards moral regeneration.
At the end of the orientation programme a core-group of committed volunteers is formed to follow-up the plan of action suggested by the group in the light of the orientation. The national office keeps in touch with the core-group members through regular correspondence, meetings and publications.
The institution where core groups are formed, is expected to become a catalyst in the area and take initiative in organizing value education programmes in other educational institutions of the area.
