:: The USM Community, a Model ::

The Universal Solidarity Movement visualizes a Universal Family based on pluralistic spirituality. It promotes values of participation, transparency, pluralism, working for peace, giving dignity and honor to all. Preaching has no impact unless lived in concrete situations. The USM community is an attempt to realize the vision and spirituality it promotes. The members include the regular staff as well as the trainees, and others, such as visitors and those who have come for a live-in experience. Together, they build community.

The staff and animators, who belong to different religions and cultural backgrounds, live harmoniously and work as a community. People from different walks of life also come to the USM community for a live-in experience. Frequent evaluation enables members to keep focused on the vision and objectives of the Movement.

Since the last one year, small groups of students, teacher animators and others who wish to get a better understanding of the spirituality of the Movement and incorporate it into their own way of life, also come to the Center and join the community to have a live- in experience. Besides their classes, they join the community for daily living.
